  1. Thanks for the most epic adventure ever!! PCR 2021 was a journey of pleasure & pain in equal measures! Until 2022 clan mates 🙂

  2. More than just a bike race, it is a reset button, in a world where everything is at your fingertips and available, this race (for me) tests everything you cannot buy, your resolve, your commitment and your belief in yourself. In return you discover you still have the basic instincts to go back to basics and survive, and those moments where you find yourself looking around and just smiling – in the words of William Wallace (allegedly) FREEDOM.
Thank you to the PCR team and what they make this event and it becomes far more than just a race for the vast majority, its a calling.

  3. For me the PCR was an awakening, a realisation that the flame of ultra-cycling had smouldered deep inside this wreck of a body, waiting to be free. As the flame flickered it created moments of revelations about who I am, windows into the soul. There is no hiding from yourself when you are alone, fighting to endure, desperately seeking an inner strength to battle on. The rebirth of your true self takes place, the forgotten soul which has been battered into submission by everyday life only to be squashed again when you return to your everyday life. Or I had a fantastic time and can’t wait to do it again! 😉
